    MyLandsEnd

Hiiiiieee So I recently learned that Hiiiiee & Byeeee comes from the Cricket commercial. My co-worker is always using that phrase towards the students so I thought it would be fun to start this post off with a little humor. Now back to business …… This post is sponsored and contains affiliate links Who’s ready for summer? June marks my sixth month anniversary of blogging. Wow how time flies when you are having fun! I’m happy I’ve embarked on this new journey. Believe it or not I had thoughts of self doubt and wondered if I would be able to keep up and maintain this blog along with being a…

How to Dress Casual and Comfy this Summer

Hey guys I’m sharing three looks on the blog today that will keep me cool, casual, and comfortable this summer. When you think of sneakers what do you think of? Hmm … probably jeans, shorts, leggings, sweatpants or some kind of sporty outfit? Nope!! Most people immediately think of the apparel I’ve mentioned above to pair with their kicks, but think again sneakers are so trendy they can make the cutest outfit look so chic you won’t think twice about picking up those heels, especially if what you’re doing involves walking which we typically tend to do more of in the summer. This post contains affiliate links Look #1 This…

    My Memorial Day Picks

Memorial Day is ahead of us and I thought I would share some looks for the holiday. They say Memorial Day officially kicks off summer. First of all Memorial Day is technically in spring so how does it kick off summer? Second who are they? Any-who I like to debate that July 4th kicks off summer because technically it’s after the 1st day of summer (June 20) and my summer will have officially started at this point. So whatever you choose to lean towards is solely up to you I’m just rambling…. lol So I’ve saved you some time and looked up some outfits for you guys. There are so…

    All I want for Mother’s Day is……..

Ladies & Gents Mother’s Day is around the corner and all I want for Mother’s Day is a Brand New Shiny Sewing Machine. Last month I participated in a sewing class but little did I know I wasn’t going to learn how to sew in just two hours. The instructor said bring material so I went to JoAnn’s the night before the class (procrastinator) to purchase some material. I just knew I was going to get started on my sequin skirt that evening. I know I have high expectations. However what I did learn how to do was thread the machine which is half the battle and sew a not…

    Cherry Blossom Mini & Me

Hi guys spring is in the air, although some nights still feel like winter. I’m not going to complain because complaining is for suckers. Anyway this time of the year is particularly nice because all of the flowers are blooming and even though the weather isn’t just quite right yet we know it’s going to get better. In other news down the street from where I live there’s a beautiful Cherry Blossom tree. Every year I manage to find my way in front of my neighbor’s yard to snap some wonderful pictures. This year our outfits from Target blended in extremely well with the scenery. I’m having so much fun…

    Polka Dot Style

So one of 2019 fashion trends this spring is polka dot. I personally don’t think it’s a trend, polka dot is a pattern I believe won’t ever go out of style. The Who What Wear Collection at Target really nailed it with the midi skirt and tiered ruffle midi dress. When I first saw the skirt in the store it definitely caught my eye. I like how it has the 1950s swing and length style. The black polka-dots pop off the vivid blue skirt. I added a nautica horizontal stripe shirt to change up the pattern a bit. I threw on my red Italian leather purse for a pop of…

    Tweed & Trench

“Dress how you want to be addressed” Very profound statement! What does that mean to you? For me I believe people treat and respect each other based on how they are dressed. For example, if you are going on an interview for a new job you should dress accordingly. For women a nice navy, black, or gray pants/skirt suit. Always wear stockings whether it’s 30 or 90 degrees outside. And wear a professional oxford shirt no cleavage!! Be prepared of course but always dress professional. I believe not only will you be taken seriously you also set the tone. I can hear my husband saying now, “They hired you as…

The best part of spring is being able to indulge in spring colors. Yeah right, who created that rule? I wear whatever color I want all year long. I enjoy wearing bright colors because its fun and it bring out my inner personality. There are no rules in my book. If you could ask someone to describe me they would probably say I’m quiet and reserve however my outfits doesn’t always match up… lol  My latest obsession is gingham. One…

    Denim & Denim

You can never go wrong with denim. There are soooooo many ways to wear jeans. Did you that know jeans are made from denim or dungaree cloth. You are probably asking yourself what the heck is dungaree? Well my brother had the same reaction when he was around 8 or 9 yrs old when my grandmother told him to put on his dungarees…. lol I can only imagine the look or blank-stare on his face. We still laugh about it years later, LOVE that lady! But did you know that jeans were invented by Jacob Davis with the help of Levi Strauss & Co back in 1873. Oh I thought…

    London Inspired Shoot!

I think every girl’s dream vacation is a trip to Paris. I could be wrong but what I do know when I go to Paris I’m going to scream, jump up and down, and salute the Eiffel Tower like Carrie Bradshaw did on the episode of Sex And The City. It’s the episode where Carrie decides to move to “The Fashion Capital of the World” with intentions of living her best life ever to later discover she was one lonely fashionista. I’ve learned two lessons from Carrie’s experience in Paris: 1. Never travel alone 2. Bring a friend or family member along (which basically refer me back to number one)…
