Black outfit ideas

When you think of the color black what comes to mind. Does power, elegance, sophistication, or classic cross your mind. Some people think black is basic but black is in a class of it’s own. In this post I will share some of my black outfit ideas I put together for my fall wardrobe rack.

I’m typically a color kind of girl but when I’m going to a black tie event I prefer wearing black. One of the outfits from my wardrobe rack is a jet black sheer poof dress. I styled this dress three ways. The first time I wore black pumps and a red Godiva ribbon around the waist. The second time I wore black Mischka Badgley pumps. The last time which was for the wardrobe collection, I styled the dress with combat boots and a moto jacket for a more edgy look.

Black outfits

With the holidays around the corner we may begin to see brands promoting black outfit ideas. There will be velvet, sequin, cashmere, sparkles all kinds of excitement. I want to get my hands on a nice black velvet blazer. My sister gave me one to sell on Poshmark I wish it was a size smaller because it’s perfect.

Last I would like to share how I took a risk and added black nail polish as bonus. Typically I would not wear a dark color as such but to be quite honest I really liked it. Someone told me I influenced them to try it as well. I was presently surprised how many people wear black polish. It will definitely be in rotation for next fall too. What a fun color to explore!
