Polka Dot Style

So one of 2019 fashion trends this spring is polka dot. I personally don’t think it’s a trend, polka dot is a pattern I believe won’t ever go out of style. The Who What Wear Collection at Target really nailed it with the midi skirt and tiered ruffle midi dress. When I first saw the skirt in the store it definitely caught my eye. I like how it has the 1950s swing and length style. The black polka-dots pop off the vivid blue skirt. I added a nautica horizontal stripe shirt to change up the pattern a bit. I threw on my red Italian leather purse for a pop of color. This leather purse can be worn across the body or by the handle. I just love it.

When I originally saw the skirt I was grocery shopping. I know you are probably thinking they don’t have skirts in the grocery aisle. Well I always manage to take the scenic route to the grocery aisle so that’s how I spotted it. But I didn’t purchase the skirt initially and of course once I got home I realized they didn’t have many sizes. So the first chance I got I returned to the store and thankfully (whoosh) they still had my size. One thing I learned about The Who What Wear Collection pieces at Target they don’t tend to stick around long. So if you like something you better get it while it’s hot. I’m sure we all had our fair share of not purchasing an item you really wanted to only return and it not be there. Okay lets move on I suffer from ptsd (post traumatic shopping distress) so I don’t like to relive those moments ….. lol

I tumbled over the tiered ruffle midi dress in clearance. It’s the perfect dress for the office. I paired it with a black blazer from my closet and out the door I was “Gone With The Wind.” (pun intended) I think I attempted to iron it but it wasn’t necessary plus I don’t like to iron anyway so it was a perfect combination. I originally wore my black flat ballet shoes from Target but chose to style the dress with my white booties when it was time to shoot pics. Now that the weather has changed and we have sprung forward I get to capture pics after work. Guess who’s my photographer? The incentive is paid sessions. Leave a comment if you think you know. Also tell me Do you like polka-dots? You may be able to pick up these looks at your local Target or online. I shared a few links below.
