Celebrating Birthday in Quarantine

I’m truly blessed Allah has granted me another year on this planet. I’m super grateful my family and friends are safe during these unprecedented times. Celebrating a birthday in quarantine can be hard but I figured I would make the best of it. Everyone kept asking me, “What are you going to do for your birthday? But to be honest I felt a little uneasy going out. Last weekend we went out to a restaurant and I felt a little uncomfortable. Mainly because the DJ wasn’t wearing a mask and I although he wasn’t near me it was strange. I wanted to eat and leave immediately.

Usually it’s hard for me to figure out what I want for my birthday so I started keeping a list of things I want in my phone to help me along. It wasn’t very helpful because I’m still undecided. The older I get the more indecisive I get around my birthday. The days leading up to my birthday are usually fun. I start with posting pictures counting down the days. Saturday I test drove a new car, maybe I’ll think about getting that soon? Who knows I’m all over the place.

Either way I’m just grateful to be alive that’s the greatest gift I could ask for. Thank you Allah for granting me another day on this earth to spend with my family and friends. I want a new camera lens so maybe I’ll get that and I can say I got something. So that’s it Happy Birthday to Me!!
