Meals for Teenagers

I don’t know about you guys but trying to feed a teenager and tween in my house is giving me anxiety. They are the most pickiest eaters on the planet. But I’m not giving up, I’m going to try and share 4 to 5 meals for teenagers that work for the most part in my house. Are you ready let’s go!

During the holiday break my daughter randomly asked if she could cook spaghetti. I asked, are you serious? And she said, yes! So our number one meal for teenagers is Spaghetti. I have to admit I was extremely proud of her. She asked questions and followed through on the entire cooking experience. I didn’t particularly like the sauce I bought but overall it was pretty tasty.

Our second meal the tween and teenager like is shrimp & chicken with Alfredo sauce. My son love to order chicken or shrimp Alfredo when we are out, so this is the perfect meal for them during the week. My daughter doesn’t typically eat shrimp but she tried it and now she’s hooked. I have to constantly stock up on the Alfredo sauce when I’m out shopping for food.

The third meal that can never go wrong is baked ziti or lasagna. My children love pasta and thanks to my sister who gave us tons of pasta before the holidays we can have it every week for at least six months. I usually cook the ziti or lasagna with ground turkey, cheddar, Mexican blend, or mozzarella cheese. It’s basically one of their favorites.

Our fourth meal is quesadillas with cheese, chicken, rice and beans. Sometimes we’ll just make cheese only quesadillas this is a great quick lunch or dinner option. We used to make tacos but this has been our alternative choice.

The fifth meal that get us through the week is chicken wings and curly fries. I usually like to bake or air fry the wings for a crispy crunch. Chicken wings and curly fries are the only thing I’ve mastered so far with the air fryer. What I particularly like about the air fryer the next day you can warm your wings up in there and get the same crispy effect as the day before.

Our bonus meal which is really the number one dish: Macaroni & Cheese. How could I forget my go to dish. My children loved mac & cheese from the moment they could eat solid foods. If they won’t eat anything else I know they’ll eat this for sure. Mac & Cheese is their comfort food. I don’t know if I met a kid who doesn’t like it because it’s honestly one of my favorites too.

So there you go our current list of meals that I know my teenager and tween will eat at least for now. Tell me what are your go to meals if you have a teen or tween? Sharing is caring
