Do you enjoy a good sale? I know silly question. Well I love a good sale and this time of the year is the perfect time to shop. I always shop at the end of the season or off season. In this post I’m sharing the top five things you should buy now. Ready let’s go!

1. Coats

If you are in need of a winter coat now is the time to buy that coat you need or want at a significant discounted price. I can confidently say all of my coats I have purchased in the month of January or February. I started doing this years ago when I was on a tight budget. Wait I’m still on a tight budget …haha Once I had children I carried this habit over into motherhood. I would buy the kids winter coats from Lands End and save them for the next winter season. I’ve come to realize this strategy is genius because I save over 50-75% off.

2. Boots & Shoes

Fall/Winter boots are next on the list of things to buy now and hold onto until the season circle back around. In the past I have purchased a pair of Sorel boots for $65-70 which are normally close to $200 dollars. Once the Christmas holiday season pass retailers are trying to move the inventory out so they can make room for the next season merchandise. So if you are in need of some toasty boots get them now!

3. Holiday Outfits

The 3rd thing on my list of items to buy now are holiday outfits. If you love tartan, plaid, velvet, sequin etc. you can grab all of the fun holiday outfits at a fraction of the cost. Just store them in a bin until next year. I can guarantee you every year during the Christmas holiday there’s tartan, plaid, buffalo check incorporated in just about every brand line-up. You may not have the latest threads in season but I promise you no one will notice except maybe me but don’t worry I’ll be virtually throwing you all a High-Five. Check out my post of holiday outfits.

4. Furniture

Who would of thought furniture would make the list but believe it or not furniture is a great staple piece to buy now. Again after the holiday Retailers such as WayFair and Macys have a huge home sale so you can typically get great deals for your home. We have been browsing around furniture stores picking up sale and clearance pieces to update the decor in our home. I believe I learned this little secret back during the Oprah Show days. Don’t say I didn’t share.

5. Winter Essentials

The last item(s) on my list are winter essentials such as pajamas, hats, scarves, gloves, and sweaters. I love pajamas especially trendy ones. I think my favorite are the candy-cane stripe pajamas that Old Navy carry. The knitted hat I’m wearing in the pic was made with love by tkwcreations I love trendy hats and scarves with a pop of color. The coat I’m wearing was also purchased at the end of the season. I think I told you guys before I stalk the items I want until they go on sale. Sweaters I like to pick up from The Gap for the entire family and I suggest you do too.

One last jewel I would like to share with you all, I always shop using Rakuten which is a website that offer cash back when you shop online. Retailers offer up to 20% or more cash back on purchases which is deposited into your account quarterly. In 2019 I earned $30 just for shopping online something I do anyway so why not earn money back. If you would like to sign up do so by clicking here. Rakuten will automatically give you $10 when you spend $25. Then if you refer someone, when they begin to shop you will earn $25 and they will also receive $10 after they spend $25, it’s a win win situation! (SN: Charese I’m still waiting on you to shop)

Let me know in the comments are you a savvy shopper? Do you have any thing you would like to share with the Murray community to help them save money let us know below. Until next time!
