Taking A Risk With Fashion
Hi Murray friends and family! We are half way through the month of January and I’m excited because my birthday is approaching. My husband keep asking me what do I want for my birthday but I can’t decide. I’m trying to take it easy on him because we have some hard goals we are trying to accomplish so I guess I’ll come up with something soon.

A couple of weeks ago I took a risk with fashion. I’ve been admiring the snakeskin trend this fall and I decided to purchase a pair of the Steve Madden Kimari boots after the holiday season. I caught a great deal they were 60% off at Macy’s. They didn’t have the original or beige color snakeskin print but they had other options like brown, yellow, pink and blue. The blue and pink snakeskin print grabbed my attention. I actually saw the pink pair in the store and thought they were quite unique. I opted for the blue because I thought I could pair them with jeans, a black slip dress, or leather skirt. I felt like the blue would have more options.
How I Styled the Boots
The boots arrived pretty quick and I must say they are extremely sexy. The heel is perfect not too high but comfortable. The texture is soft and ironically I had an A-Line Jason Wu skirt from the Target Anniversary Collection which paired with the boots perfectly. I decided to add a little texture with a faux fur head wrap my co-worker gifted me for my birthday last year. I have to admit the look is a little out of my element but I’m always willing to take a risk and explore to see what I come up with.
I threw on my moto-jacket from Target to incorporate a little chicness to the look. Instead of a solid shirt I opted to wear a bold stripe shirt which aligned with the bold stripes in the skirt. Tell me what do you think of the look? Do you take risk when it comes to putting together your outfits? Let me know in the comments. Until next time if you like this look check out this post

I love this look! The prints, patterns & colors all paired well together. Especially that calming blue with the subtle cool black.
Fashion is used to express our own personal style. To set us apart from any other.
So why not have fun sometimes, mix things up, create a statement look.
Let’s walk on the wild side 😎
An A+ for this bold look
