I Love Color

If you have not already noticed I love a pop of color. My two favorite colors are white and yellow. However I don’t discriminate against others the brighter the better. When I spotted the yellow pants I am wearing three years ago I knew I had to have them. I had my eye on a white pair this season but I think they are sold out, Bummer!! But let me tell you a little secret if you keep going back to the website sometimes a few will reappear then BINGO you hit the Jackpot!
Lately because of Covid-19 I’ve been cutting back on spending and instead re-purposing some of the fabulous items I already own in my closet. I swear I need to sell some stuff, Poshmark sale coming soon! Who said you can’t wear your clothes twice, three, or four times for that matter. Not me I’ve decided to style my pieces different. Occasionally I’ll buy a new accessory but for the most part I probably won’t because I’m sure I have something if I take the time and look.
The first time I wore these yellow pants I wore a black ruffle blouse and black peek-a-boo pumps. The second time I went for a more casual look pairing the pants with a graphic “Fight The Power” t-shirt. The third time I styled the pants with a black and white striped lightweight turtleneck, jean jacket and black pumps. I could have also worn my black Moto-jacket too. This winter I wore the same striped black and white turtleneck with a pair of hot pink trousers and Moto-jacket in which I really loved. I originally bought the turtleneck to wear with a polka-dot skirt. I’m glad I purchased it because I’ve been able to pair it with so many outfits. Don’t be surprised if you see it again.
I usually get my outfit inspiration from Pinterest, IG, InStyle, Vogue and Essence magazine. Other times when I’m laying in my bed and I glance over at my closet I’ll see two pieces inadvertently hanging together and I’ll say wow that may look cute together. My brother will sometimes send me looks too but he usually DM me the latest luxury pieces to check out. He knows I’m cheap (frugal) so I don’t know why he does that… haha I use to rely on my brother a lot for styling tips but I must say I’ve gotten very confident and I have a clear understanding of styling. Everything doesn’t have to match be creatively free and wear it my motto.

I love the black blouse, which gives the pants a dressier look. The turtleneck and jean jacket is another favorite, in which it gives the pants a casual relax look but still chic.
I’m very proud of you, how over the years you’ve really owned your own style. It’s all about knowing yourself & what you like, being confident in yourself with anything you choose to put on. It’s also about instinct, knowing when I put something on, it’s gonna make me feel so high, like a rush of confidence. That’s when you know you’ve made the rite choice.

I used to hate the color yellow. It wasn’t until my grandma forced me to try on a yellow prom dress that my outlook changed. Now I love it! Your pants are amazing by the way!!
